Welcome to Coeur dŽ Alene, Idaho ,"the Playground of the Pacific Northwest." Coeur dŽalene is a resort community  located 90 miles from the canadian border and 330 miles east of seattle ,wash. There are several lakes to play in and Coeur dŽ alene Lake is 30 miles long with 135 miles of shoreline.

World's Only Floating Golf Green

The worlds only  Floating Golf Green is on Coeur dŽ alene lake and has been host to the PGA. The floating green is 15,000. Sq feet with a weight of nearly 5 million pounds . The floating green can be moved from 75 yards to 175 yards or more via cables attached to the lake bottom. Enjoy a game of golf at the resort like no other with breathtaking views of the lake and eagles flying overhead.

Resorts and Winter Activities

Coeur dŽ alene has 4 seasons to accommodate all your hobbies and interest. For the winter we have 2 mountain resorts; Schweitzer Mountain Resort has 2900 acres of ski terrain and Silver Mountain Resort has 1600 acres of ski terrain ,also Washington has Spokane Mountain . Idaho has the most public land  of any state and if you like to  snowmobile there are groomed trails to enjoy throughtout North Idaho. In Kootenai County we have 3 waterparks & 1 is indoors.

Beautiful Scenery and Lakes

Lake Pend Oreille is IdahoŽs largest Lake. Both Coeur dŽ alene and Lake Pend Oreille have lake cruises  or  provide a beautiful scenic drive. Coeur dŽ Alene is the host to the  Ironman competition every June and that is a  2.4 miles of swimming,112 miles of bicycling and a 26.2 mile run.  We have 72 miles of bike trails, several rivers ,too many golf courses to count and  our own Kootenai County Fairgrounds. If you like  hiking, fishing, boating, go off-roading ,motorcycling, kayaking, skiing, snowboarding, sledding, hunting or just photography wildlife, your at the right place. You can have it all.
